Altadena, CA – Injuries Reported in I-5 Collision Near Laurel Canyon Blvd.

Altadena, CA (May 1, 2025) – Late on the evening of April 30th, a two-vehicle collision involving a white Tesla Model 3 and a semi-truck occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5 near the Laurel Canyon Boulevard off-ramp in Altadena. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 11:19 p.m. and found both vehicles pulled over onto the right shoulder. Initial reports indicate that the Tesla collided with the semi under unclear circumstances, prompting an immediate emergency response. Paramedics provided on-site treatment to at least one injured individual. It remains unclear whether any parties required transportation to a nearby medical facility for further care. The severity of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed at this time. CHP has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
