Altadena, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N at Penrose St Causes Injuries

Altadena, CA (March 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on I-5 North near Penrose Street resulted in injuries late Wednesday night, March 19. The accident occurred around 11:41 p.m. when at least three vehicles, including a dark-colored SUV, crashed in the northbound lanes. One vehicle was reportedly blocking the HOV lane, while two others stopped on the right shoulder embankment. First responders, including CHP officers and paramedics, arrived promptly to assist those injured and clear the roadway. Tow trucks were requested to remove damaged vehicles, and traffic delays persisted until the scene was fully cleared. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
