Altadena, CA – Pedestrian Struck by Jeep on I-5 S Off-Ramp at Penrose St.
Altadena, CA (April 7, 2025) – On the evening of April 7, a pedestrian was injured in a traffic collision involving a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee on the southbound Interstate 5 off-ramp at Penrose Street in Altadena. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around 6:28 p.m. when the pedestrian was struck by the Jeep while near the off-ramp. The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation, but initial reports suggest the driver may not have seen the pedestrian until it was too late.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they provided immediate medical assistance. The injured pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was then transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries is still unknown. CHP officers remained on-site to interview witnesses and examine the scene. Law enforcement continues to investigate the crash.
