Altadena, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Buena Vista St Sends One to Hospital

Altadena, CA (January 28, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on I-5 northbound at the Buena Vista Street off-ramp resulted in injuries on Tuesday afternoon, January 27. According to CHP, a blue Acura and a black BMW collided, blocking the second lane. Officers initially reported no injuries, but the incident was later upgraded when one party reported pain and requested medical assistance.

Burbank Fire Department paramedics responded and transported one individual to a local hospital for evaluation. Both drivers exited their vehicles and cooperated with authorities at the scene.

Traffic was slowed briefly as vehicles were moved to the shoulder. CHP is investigating the events leading up to the crash.
