Altadena, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Sheldon St On-Ramp Injures Child
Altadena, CA (March 29, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on I-5 North near the Sheldon Street on-ramp led to injuries, including a child passenger, on Saturday evening, March 29. 5The crash, which occurred around 5:18 p.m., involved a black Jeep and a black Hyundai Sonata. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Hyundai sustained damage to its front axle and was partially blocking the HOV lane, while the Jeep was positioned on the right-hand shoulder. Emergency medical services, including the Los Angeles Fire Department, responded promptly. A child in the back seat of one of the vehicles was evaluated for injuries as a precaution. Paramedics assessed the involved parties on-site, though it remains unclear if any were transported to a hospital for further treatment. Authorities called for a flatbed tow truck to remove the damaged Hyundai from the roadway. The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident and will determine whether any traffic violations contributed to the collision.
