Anaheim, CA – Crash on I-5 Kills Toddler and Man Near Magnolia Ave.
Anaheim, CA (April 19 2025) – A devastating two-vehicle collision believed to involve a drunk driver claimed the lives of a man and a toddler on Saturday night, April 19, along the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim. The crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. when the driver of a white Chevrolet SUV reportedly lost control and collided with a Ford SUV carrying five individuals, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Investigators at the scene suspect the woman driving the Chevy may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.
Tragically, both the man and the toddler traveling in the Ford SUV succumbed to their injuries. The condition of the other three occupants in the Ford vehicle remains unclear at this time, though emergency responders confirmed they were evaluated at the scene. The suspected DUI driver was transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries. CHP officers are continuing their investigation into the events that led to the fatal crash.
