Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on NB I-5 near Twisselman Road

Bakersfield, CA (July 5, 2023) – Tragedy struck this morning, July 5th, on the I-5 freeway, just north of Twisselman Road, in a three-vehicle collision that claimed at least one life.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. and resulted in the blockage of the northbound lanes of I-5.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and EMS reacted to the scene and worked diligently to assist the injured victims. Unfortunately, one of the involved individuals was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the victim and any additional injuries sustained in the crash have not been disclosed.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unknown at this time. The CHP is currently investigating the cause of this devastating incident.
