Buttonwillow, CA – Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash on NB I-5/SR-46

Buttonwillow, CA (April 21, 2025) – A late-night crash involving two vehicles on northbound Interstate 5 just south of State Route 46 resulted in injuries in Buttonwillow on April 21. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol’s Bakersfield Division, the collision occurred just after midnight and involved a white Chevrolet Silverado and a black sedan. Authorities responded to the scene before midnight. First responders assessed the condition of the occupants upon arrival. One individual was reported to have sustained injuries, though the extent and nature of those injuries have not yet been confirmed. Emergency medical personnel provided treatment at the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
