Camp Pendleton N., CA – Injury Crash on NB I-5 Near San Onofre Nuclear Plant

Camp Pendleton North, CA (February 28, 2025) – A traffic collision involving a white Audi and a pickup truck occurred late night, February 28, on northbound Interstate 5 near the San Onofre Nuclear Plant. The crash was first reported at 10:03 p.m., prompting a rapid emergency response. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, confirming that one person was transported to Mission Hospital by paramedics. A 4-year-old child was also transported as a precaution, but no injuries were reported for the child. Tow services were requested to clear the damaged vehicles, and by 2:10 a.m., units had cleared the scene. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
