Capistrano, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash With Injuries on I-5 Near Avenida Vista Hermosa

Capistrano, CA (July 28, 2023) – A multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-5 near the Avenida Vista Hermosa exit in Capistrano, resulting in injuries to those involved.

The incident occurred at around 11:17 a.m. on Thursday, July 27th, and temporarily blocked all but the right two southbound lanes on the freeway. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Capistrano Area office responded to the report, and by 11:26 a.m., a two-hour Sigalert was issued, warning drivers of the lane closures.

The responding paramedics attended to the injured individuals, who were consequently rushed to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, there were no reported fatalities, and no information regarding the number of people injured was provided at this time.

CHP is actively investigating the crash to determine the cause and circumstances that led to the collision.
