Capistrano, CA – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near El Toro Rd.

Orange County, CA (April 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision involving a white pickup truck and a gold SUV occurred on the northbound I-5 near El Toro Road East in Capistrano on the afternoon of April 9th, resulting in a reported injury. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 4:49 p.m. after multiple calls reported a crash. Emergency medical personnel attended to one individual who sustained injuries. The person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other injuries were immediately reported. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene. The responding crews worked to clear the scene and conduct a preliminary investigation. CHP is currently reviewing the circumstances that led to the crash.
