Capistrano, CA – Two Injured in Collision on I-5 at Camino De Estrella

Capistrano, CA (April 5, 2025) – Two people were injured following a collision between a red Volkswagen sedan and a gray Mazda sedan on the northbound side of I-5 at Camino De Estrella in Capistrano on April 5th. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene shortly after 2:45 PM to find the two vehicles on the right shoulder with visible damage. The impact of the crash caused injuries to both drivers, who were treated by emergency personnel at the scene. At this time, neither required transport to a hospital, though further evaluations are pending. According to witnesses, one vehicle may have veered into the other’s lane, causing the impact. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and urge anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
