Capistrano, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N at Ortega Hwy Leaves Injuries

Orange County, CA (April 10, 2025) – On April 10th at approximately 3:59 p.m., a crash between a silver Chrysler van and a Nissan Versa occurred on northbound I-5 at Ortega Highway in Capistrano, leaving several individuals injured. The vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder, sustaining moderate damage from the impact. The California Highway Patrol arrived quickly and began coordinating emergency services while managing traffic flow in the area. Paramedics from Orange County Fire Authority provided immediate medical attention to the occupants of both vehicles. Some of the injured were assessed at the scene, while others were taken to nearby medical facilities for additional treatment. This incident caused temporary lane closures and traffic congestion through the late afternoon. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
