Capistrano, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Ortega Hwy Leaves Several Injured

Capistrano, CA (April 15, 2025) – On the morning of April 15, a two-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 5 near Ortega Highway in Capistrano resulted in multiple injuries. The crash occurred around 11:26 a.m. and involved a silver Toyota Prius and a dark-colored SUV, possibly blue or green.

According to the California Highway Patrol, both vehicles sustained substantial damage and came to a halt on the shoulder, drawing immediate attention from local responders. Several people were reported injured, requiring hospital care. Paramedics arrived swiftly, providing aid and transporting the injured to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Officers from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department assisted in managing traffic and documenting the crash site. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
