Coalinga, CA – Two-Car Collision on I-5 S/Derrick Ave. Sends One to Hospital

Coalinga, CA (April 14, 2025) – On the night of April 14th, a serious collision involving a Honda and a Toyota Corolla occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Derrick Avenue on-ramp in Coalinga. The crash, reported around 10:49 PM, prompted a swift response from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and emergency medical services. Due to the severity of the impact, an ambulance was dispatched to the scene shortly after the initial call.

At least one individual required medical attention, though it has not yet been confirmed whether they were transported to a nearby hospital or treated on-site. Both vehicles sustained considerable damage and came to rest along the shoulder, forcing officers to slow traffic as they investigated and cleared the scene.
