Cottonwood, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 S Leaves Pregnant Woman Injured

Cottonwood, CA (March 15, 2025) – A serious crash involving multiple vehicles occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Cottonwood Road on Saturday afternoon, March 15, leaving at least one person injured. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident occurred around 1:03 p.m. and involved a blue sedan and a white SUV. Reports indicate that the white SUV forced the blue sedan off the roadway, causing it to collide with the center divider. The impact of the crash caused the sedan to ricochet between a nearby big rig and the center divide before coming to a stop.

Authorities confirmed that one of the individuals involved, a pregnant woman, suffered a head injury. She requested medical assistance to check on her condition and the well-being of her unborn child. Emergency responders, including paramedics from American Medical Response (AMR), were dispatched to the scene under Code 3 (urgent response).
