Encinitas, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N Leaves Multiple Injured/Oceanside

Encinitas, CA (April 1, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on northbound I-5 near Oceanside caused injuries on Tuesday morning, April 1, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision, which occurred just south of Encinitas, involved a red sedan and a black sedan that came to rest in the center divider. CHP officers and emergency medical teams arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported. Paramedics assessed multiple individuals for injuries, providing immediate on-site care. Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of injured victims or the severity of their conditions, but at least one person required transportation to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Officials have not yet determined the underlying cause of the crash pending investigations.
