Everett, WA – Tow Truck and DOT Trailer Crash on I-5 Sends One to Hospital
Everett, WA (May 7, 2025) – A Bellingham man was hospitalized after a crash involving a tow truck and a Washington State Department of Transportation trailer on the evening of Tuesday, May 6, along northbound I-5 near Everett. The incident occurred just south of the SR 529 interchange (MP 197). According to the Washington State Patrol, a 51-year-old man was driving northbound when he attempted to merge lanes and collided with a WSDOT trailer. The impact caused his vehicle to spin and strike another car from behind. Emergency personnel responded swiftly and assisted the injured driver, who was later transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
