Federal Way, WA – Woman Killed in Crash on NB I-5 Near Kent
Federal Way, WA (March 3, 2025) – A 21-year-old woman from Federal Way died early morning March 2 in a rollover crash on northbound I-5, near the border of Federal Way and Kent, after striking another vehicle, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. when Siham Hassan was driving a 2024 Mercedes GLS northbound in lane five of five. At the same time, a 47-year-old man from Gig Harbor was driving a 2024 Toyota Tacoma in lane three. According to WSP reports, Hassan’s vehicle collided with the left side of the Tacoma, causing her SUV to roll multiple times across the freeway before coming to a stop on its wheels in lane one. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Hassan succumbed to her injuries. Authorities confirmed that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Toyota Tacoma driver, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained injuries but survived. Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed the fatality. The WSP is continuing its investigation.
