Ferndale, WA – Two Injured After Crash on I-5 Near Slater Rd
Ferndale, WA (April 1, 2025) – A serious accident late Saturday night, March 30, on northbound Interstate 5 near the Slater Road interchange left two people injured after a Dodge Charger crashed into a parked Chevrolet Trailblazer, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP). The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. when the driver of a 2006 white Chevrolet Trailblazer had pulled over onto the right shoulder to change a rear passenger-side tire. A 2023 black Dodge Charger veered off the road and struck the stationary Chevrolet, pushing both the vehicle and its driver into a ditch.
Emergency personnel from the Bellingham Fire Department responded quickly, transporting two injured individuals to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed, but both were reported to be in stable condition. WSP troopers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
