Fort Tejon, CA – Injury Crash Reported on I-5 S/Lebec Rest Area
Fort Tejon, CA (November 11, 2025) – A high-speed collision caused injuries on southbound I-5 just south of the Lebec Rest Area on Tuesday night, November 11. The California Highway Patrol stated that the driver of one vehicle was traveling at over 100 mph on the right shoulder when they lost control and struck another vehicle. The impact sent one car into the guardrail and caused significant debris on the roadway.
At least one person sustained injuries and received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby medical facility for evaluation. CHP officers and tow crews cleared the area after several hours, restoring normal traffic flow.
Authorities are investigating whether excessive speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
