Fort Tejon, CA – Semi-Truck Crash with Injuries on I-5 S Near Grapevine Rd. 

Fort Tejon, CA (May 2, 2025) – A semi-truck collision involving injuries occurred on I-5 South near Grapevine Road on the night of May 2nd, in the Bakersfield region. CHP units from the Bakersfield division were dispatched to the scene at around 9:16 p.m. after reports of a white semi-truck hauling an Amazon trailer being involved in a collision. Paramedics arrived shortly after and assisted the injured party, who was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The exact nature and severity of the injuries are still being assessed. The semi-truck sustained front-end damage and blocked part of the roadway during the response. California Highway Patrol officers redirected traffic and worked alongside tow crews to remove the damaged trailer and clear the roadway. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
