Fort Tejon, CA – Semi-Truck Wreck on I-5 S Injures Drivers Near Truck Bypass

Fort Tejon, CA (April 8, 2025) – Two semi-trucks were involved in a serious crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the truck bypass area in Fort Tejon late Monday night, April 8. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 11:41 p.m. following reports of a collision between a blue semi-truck and a white semi-truck. The crash forced authorities to temporarily block lanes to allow emergency personnel to reach the scene safely. First responders from local paramedics evaluated the drivers involved. One of the truck drivers was reported injured and received medical attention on-site before being transported to a local hospital. The extent of injuries has not been disclosed. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.
