Fort Tejon, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash w/ Injuries on NB I-5 at Laval Rd.

Fort Tejon, CA (April 28, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused injuries on the evening of April 28 on northbound Interstate 5 near Laval Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Bakersfield. CHP officers responded to the collision around 6:34 p.m. after receiving reports of two vehicles that had crashed and come to rest in the center divider. Upon arrival, CHP personnel assessed the situation and confirmed that injuries had occurred.

Medical responders were called to the scene to provide treatment, although the number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries remain unclear at this time. Traffic in the area was temporarily impacted as officers worked to secure the scene and coordinate towing services. Both vehicles required removal from the center divider to restore safe travel conditions. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
