Fresno Co., CA – Big Rig Crash on I-5 Near Jayne Ave. Leaves Driver Injured

Fresno County, CA (May 1, 2025) – A serious crash involving a big rig occurred on Thursday afternoon, May 1st, on southbound Interstate 5 near Jayne Avenue in Fresno County, resulting in reported injuries. According to the Coalinga Fire Department, the incident happened just south of Jayne Avenue, a rural stretch of I-5 often used by long-haul trucks. The semi-truck reportedly veered off its lane and crashed, though the exact cause is still under investigation. Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, where the truck driver was found injured. Paramedics treated the individual at the scene before transporting them to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation. The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
