Irvine, CA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on SB I-5 Near Culver Dr

Irvine, CA (March 2, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck, an SUV, and at least two other vehicles occurred early Sunday morning, March 2, on southbound Interstate 5 near Culver Drive. The crash was first reported at 12:58 a.m., with debris scattered across all lanes of the freeway. One of the vehicles, a Toyota Tacoma, came to a stop in the center divide (CD), while the semi-truck and other vehicles involved pulled over to the right-hand shoulder.

Emergency responders were dispatched to assess injuries and transport those needing further examination and care to area hospitals, but the severity of the injuries remains unclear at this time. A tow truck (1185 FB) was requested to assist in clearing the wreckage. California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigated the scene and worked to clear debris from the roadway.
