Kalama, WA – Woman Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N
Kalama, WA (April 23, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near milepost 31 left one woman injured on the afternoon of April 22. The collision occurred just south of the Port of Kalama at around 4:37 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
Authorities say 35-year-old Olivia L. Moulton of Ridgefield was driving a blue 2022 Toyota RAV4 and had stopped due to slowing traffic when her vehicle was struck from behind by a silver 2023 Subaru driven by 71-year-old Denise J. Baker of Clatskanie. Baker allegedly failed to reduce speed in time to avoid the collision. The impact caused a chain reaction involving a third vehicle, a 2021 Jeep Wrangler operated by 22-year-old Kyley J. Storie of Woodland, who then struck Baker’s Subaru. All involved drivers were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Moulton sustained injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview for further treatment.
The extent of her injuries has not yet been disclosed. Washington State Patrol officers remained on-site for an extended period to conduct a thorough investigation and clear the roadway. No citations have been issued so far, but the incident remains under review.
We extend our thoughts to Ms. Moulton and wish her a swift and full recovery.
