Kent, WA – Semi-Truck Collision Causes Injuries on NB I-5 Near 272nd St

Kent, WA (February 28, 2025) – A collision involving two semi-trucks caused injuries Friday morning, February 28, on northbound Interstate 5 near 272nd Street, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). The crash was first reported at 8:00 a.m., leading to lane closures and heavy congestion in the area. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that injuries were reported, but they were considered non-life-threatening. The injured driver was assessed at the scene and did not require hospitalization. Authorities worked to clear the roadway as quickly as possible, but traffic remained backed up for hours while crews removed the damaged trucks. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is investigating the cause of the crash.
