Lake Forest, CA – Traffic Collision with Injuries on I-5 S at El Toro Rd.

Lake Forest, CA (March 13, 2025) – A serious crash involving a white Ford F-150 and a big rig occurred late Thursday night, March 13, on southbound I-5 near El Toro Road. The accident was reported around 11:03 p.m., with the Ford F-150 overturning onto its roof.

Initial reports indicated possible lane blockages, with debris and sheet metal obstructing traffic. A traffic break was initiated by law enforcement, temporarily blocking all lanes as emergency crews responded. Firefighters worked to extricate a trapped individual, and at least one person, identified as Matthew Edward Saddoris, was transported to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo with non-life-threatening injuries. The roadway was cleared by 11:52 p.m., and authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
