Lakewood, WA – Hit-and-Run on I-5 at MP 124 Injures One
Lakewood, WA (April 5, 2025) – A 29-year-old man from Tenino was hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash involving a semi-truck on Friday afternoon, April 4, along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 in the Lakewood area. The collision occurred at around 3:00 p.m. near milepost 124 when the victim’s gray Audi was struck in lane two by an unidentified semi-truck. According to a press memo issued by the Washington State Patrol later that evening, the truck fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Trooper John Dattilo confirmed that the driver of the Audi was transported to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the impact. The extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed, but officials noted he was conscious at the time of transport. Authorities closed multiple lanes briefly while troopers assessed the scene and cleared debris. Washington State Patrol is actively investigating the incident and is asking anyone with dashcam footage or information about the semi-truck to come forward.
