Lathrop, CA – Semi-Truck and Sedan Collision on NB I-5 Near E Louise Ave

Lathrop, CA (February 28, 2025) – A collision involving a semi-truck and a sedan occurred on February 28 on northbound Interstate 5 just north of E Louise Avenue. The crash was first reported at 3:15 a.m., with both vehicles coming to a stop on the right-hand shoulder. Reports indicated that a red sedan went into a ditch while the semi-truck was unable to move from the roadway.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and medical assistance was requested for at least one individual. Authorities also dispatched multiple tow trucks, including a heavy-duty tow for the semi-truck and a flatbed tow for the sedan. By 3:52 a.m., efforts were underway to remove the vehicles, and traffic in the area was impacted. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the cause of the crash.
