Los Angeles, CA – Big Rig and Tesla Crash on I-5/Mateo St Exit Causes Injuries  

Los Angeles, CA (February 18, 2025) – An early morning crash on February 18 involving a Tesla Model Y and a big rig truck occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, just north of the Mateo Street exit. The accident, which happened around 2:43 a.m., partially blocked the slow lane and caused significant delays.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after, confirming that the Tesla required a flatbed tow truck for removal. Paramedics assisted those involved and provided on-site medical care to those injured. The injured were later transported to a medical facility, though the extent remains unclear at this time. Authorities worked to clear the roadway, and by 3:53 a.m., traffic was flowing again.
