Los Angeles, CA – Big Rig Crash with Injuries on EB I-5 at Alameda St
Los Angeles, CA (February 23, 2025) – A collision involving multiple vehicles, including a big rig, occurred early Sunday morning, February 23, on eastbound Interstate 5 near Alameda Street. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash initially involved a gray Dodge Challenger that became disabled on the right shoulder around 2:15 a.m. Shortly after, the vehicle stalled in the middle lanes, creating a hazard for oncoming traffic. At around 3:03 a.m., a white cab semi-truck with a white trailer collided with the disabled vehicle.
Emergency responders were dispatched after reports of at least one injured individual complaining of pain. Ambulances were sent to the scene to provide medical assistance to those affected. Tow trucks, including Metro Towing Inc., were called to assist in clearing the roadway. Authorities remained on the scene for several hours, managing vehicle removal and directing traffic flow. The incident remains under investigation, and officials have not yet determined the primary cause of the crash.
