Los Angeles, CA – Crash on I-5 N/Garfield Ave Leaves Multiple Injured
Los Angeles, CA (March 28, 2025) – A major four-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 North near Garfield Avenue caused injuries late Thursday night, March 27. The collision, which occurred around 9:09 p.m., involved a white semi-truck, a black sedan, and two other vehicles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived on the scene shortly after the crash, finding that multiple vehicles had blocked lanes, causing severe congestion.
Reports indicate that one vehicle had stopped in the center divider, while a big rig was obstructing the third lane and a tan sedan was blocking the fast lane. Emergency responders, including the Los Angeles County Fire Department, provided medical attention to those injured. One person was seen exiting their vehicle in distress before being assisted. Authorities worked quickly to move the damaged vehicles to the right shoulder and reopen lanes to ease traffic flow. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
