Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Crash Claims Life on I-5 near The Valencia Blvd On-Ramp

Los Angeles, CA (July 1, 2023)  – A tragic incident occurred on Friday night when a collision occurred between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Interstate 5 near the Valencia Boulevard on-ramp. Officer Michael Nasir of the California Highway Patrol confirmed the devastating news, revealing that one person lost their life in the accident.

The collision was initially reported at around 10:30 p.m., prompting the authorities to issue a SIG alert for the Number 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound side of I-5. The alert, which commenced at 11:18 p.m., remained in effect until 1:36 a.m. During this period, the on-ramp at Valencia Boulevard was also closed.

Tragically, the pedestrian involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Further details regarding the victim’s identity and the circumstances of the incident have not been disclosed at this time.
