Los Angeles, CA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 S at SR-118
Los Angeles, CA (April 4, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash caused significant disruptions in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, April 2. The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at the SR-118 interchange and involved a white Tesla, a white van, and a gray Toyota RAV4. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 4:58 p.m. and blocked the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane, prompting immediate responses from law enforcement and medical personnel.
CHP Unit B98-053 was among the first to arrive and confirmed the incident had injuries. The Los Angeles Fire Department also responded to assess the scene and check for injuries. Emergency services coordinated with Freeway Service Patrol and multiple towing companies, including Rowlett’s Tow, to clear the wreckage and reopen the HOV lane. Fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were reported, though at least one ambulance was dispatched as a precaution. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
