Los Angeles, CA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near E Cesar Chavez Ave.
Los Angeles, CA (April 13, 2025) – On the afternoon of April 12, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near East Cesar Chavez Avenue in Central Los Angeles, leaving one person injured and prompting a rapid emergency response. The crash involved a white Chrysler Pacifica towing a U-Haul trailer and a white Infiniti SUV. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder of the interstate following the collision.
One of the vehicles, the Infiniti, appeared to be disabled at the scene. Paramedics were quickly dispatched after the incident was upgraded from a non-injury crash to one requiring ambulance assistance. The condition of the injured party has not yet been released, but medical personnel conducted an on-site evaluation before transporting the injured individual to a nearby hospital for further care. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash.
