Los Angeles, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Lake Hughes Rd Leaves Injures One

Los Angeles, CA (February 14, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 near Lake Hughes Road resulted in one person trapped and injured on the afternoon of February 14. The crash occurred just north of Lake Hughes Road, prompting a swift response from Engine and Squad 149, Quint 126, and Battalion 6. According to initial reports, the collision involved several vehicles, with one individual becoming trapped inside their car due to the impact.

Emergency crews worked diligently to extricate the victim, who sustained injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.  The injured individual was provided on-site medical assistance before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene to assist with traffic control and investigate the cause of the crash.
