Los Angeles, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Balboa Blvd Leads to Injuries

Los Angeles, CA (March 26, 2025) – A major traffic collision involving multiple vehicles, including a big rig and a motorcycle, occurred on I-5 North near Balboa Boulevard on the afternoon of March 25. The crash resulted in severe injuries and prompted an immediate emergency response. Authorities reported that a gray pickup truck was initially stopped on the right shoulder when the accident happened.

A large commercial truck became involved, blocking an emergency lane. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers and fire department personnel worked to clear a path for emergency vehicles as traffic gridlock complicated rescue efforts. A motorcycle was also involved in the crash, prompting officials to request a tow truck for its removal. One person reportedly sustained serious injuries and required medical attention. Paramedics provided on-site treatment before transporting the injured individual to a nearby hospital for further care.
