Los Angeles, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 near E. Gage Ave Leaves Two Injured
Los Angeles, CA (February 13, 2025)—A multi-vehicle collision involving a big rig and a blue Subaru SUV occurred on February 13, around 1:09 PM on I-5 near E. Gage Avenue. The crash resulted in injuries and significant traffic disruptions, with vehicles forced to use the center divide to navigate around the scene.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident began when a sedan spun out in front of the big rig, striking the center divider. The big rig then collided with the sedan, pushing it further into the divide. A black Mercedes SUV was also involved, sustaining major front-end damage. The big rig came to rest on the right-hand shoulder, while the sedan remained partially blocking the center divide.
Emergency responders, including the Los Angeles Fire Department, arrived promptly to assess the situation. Two individuals reported complaints of pain but declined transportation to the hospital after on-site evaluation. Tow services were called to clear the wreckage, which included debris scattered across multiple lanes. The CHP managed traffic flow for over an hour as crews worked to clear the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
Our thoughts are with those affected, and we wish them a swift recovery.
