Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Car on I-5 at Pasadena Ave.
Los Angeles, CA (April 17, 2025) – A male pedestrian sustained injuries after being struck by a black Honda Civic during an accident on I-5 South near Pasadena Ave. on Thursday evening, April 17. The collision occurred around 7:36 p.m. on April 17, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), which was the first unit to arrive on the scene. Reports indicate that the incident involved an older male pedestrian and a black Honda Civic with license plate 8DYK890. The pedestrian was reportedly crossing the intersection between Pasadena Avenue and Avenue 21 when he was hit. The impact left him with visible injuries. First responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene and provided initial medical treatment before transferring the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital for further care. The Los Angeles Police Department has taken over the investigation to determine fault. No other injuries were reported, and the driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
