Los Angeles, CA – Semi-Truck- Sedan Wreck on I-5/The Islands, Injuries Reported

Los Angeles, CA (April 29, 2025) – A red semi-truck and a gray Hyundai Elantra were involved in a traffic collision on the northbound lanes of I-5 just south of The Islands exit around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29. CHP units responded to the scene and confirmed that the two vehicles had come to a stop on the right shoulder. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, but early reports indicate a potential merging or lane-changing issue between the semi and the sedan. The incident led to injuries for at least one occupant, though authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of those injuries.
