Los Angeles, CA – Serious Two-Vehicle Collision on I-5 Near Atlantic Blvd, One Party Unresponsive

Los Angeles, CA (August 13, 2023) – In the early hours of August 13th, a significant collision involving two vehicles occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, just south of the Atlantic Blvd offramp.

Upon arrival at the scene, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers confirmed that the collision involved a black Audi and a blue BMW. The party from the BMW remained unresponsive and did not exit the vehicle.

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) acted immediately to attend to the individual who had sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The incident led to a complete shutdown of all vehicles in the northbound lanes, causing a traffic standstill. The BMW’s party did not exit the vehicle, and investigations were ongoing. Unfortunately, one of the involved vehicles fled the scene, leaving both parties abandoned.

The collision resulted in a substantial impact, with the black Audi and blue BMW sustaining significant damage.

Investigations are still ongoing at this time.
