Los Angeles, CA (April 15, 2025) – On the evening of April 14, a three-vehicle crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Verdugo Avenue off-ramp left several people injured and temporarily blocked the fast lane. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 6:19 p.m., where a gray Honda CR-V, a gray Toyota Highlander, and a white Mercedes-Benz van had collided. The impact of the crash caused the van to stall in the fast lane, creating a significant traffic disruption during the evening rush hour. Injuries were reported, though the extent of those injuries remains unclear. Emergency crews provided on-site assessment and medical attention before transporting the injured to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. CHP officers conducted an initial investigation and are working to determine what led to the crash. No further information has been released about the victims or whether impairment or speed played a role.
We extend our thoughts to the injured individuals and wish them a full and speedy recovery.
