Los Angeles, CA – Wreck on I-5 N at Indiana St Off-ramp, Injuries Reported
Los Angeles, CA (April 6, 2025) – A traffic collision took place on the afternoon of April 5 on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Indiana Street off-ramp. The crash involved two vehicles: a white SUV and a gray sedan. The collision occurred just south of Downey, blocking the number 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and CHP arrived on the scene promptly and found that one of the vehicles had sustained heavy damage.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured, and one individual was reportedly trapped in the sedan. The victims were provided with on-site medical care before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the roadway was blocked for nearly an hour before it was cleared. Traffic was delayed as emergency vehicles and tow trucks worked to remove the wreckage. The CHP is currently investigating the crash and gathering information from witnesses to determine the cause of the collision.
