Manteca, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash with Injuries on SB I-5 Near SR-120
Manteca, CA (March 4, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash involving a blue Tesla and an oversized big rig occurred Tuesday morning, March 4, on southbound Interstate 5 near the State Route 120 East interchange, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash was first reported at 7:49 a.m., with the Tesla sustaining damage and coming to a stop in the center divide with hazard lights on. Witnesses indicated that the big rig driver may not have been aware of the collision, as the truck initially continued traveling before pulling over at the gore point on westbound SR-120.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist the injured Tesla driver, but the extent of injuries has not yet been disclosed. The big rig driver declined medical assistance and towing services but later moved the truck to the next off-ramp to clear traffic. CHP continues to investigate the incident, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash.
