Newhall, CA – Crash on I-5 S Near Balboa Blvd Causes Injuries

Newhall, CA (April 26, 2025) – Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 near the Balboa Boulevard offramp late Friday night, April 25. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that a black Honda CR-V and a white sedan were involved in the accident, which occurred around 9:57 p.m. on April 25. One vehicle struck the center divider, while the other came to rest on the right-hand shoulder, partially blocking traffic.

First responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department provided on-site medical evaluations. At least one party sustained injuries but was treated at the scene without requiring hospital transport. The extent of the damage suggested that the impact was significant, prompting a partial lane closure during the investigation and cleanup. CHP officers are investigating the factors leading up to the crash.
