Newhall, CA – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 at Balboa Blvd

Newhall, CA (April 15, 2025) – A traffic collision involving a silver sedan and a white work truck led to injuries on Interstate 5 South near Balboa Boulevard early Monday morning, April 14. The accident was reported around 6:23 a.m. on April 15. According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicles collided in the number 1 lane, causing one to become partially disabled and block traffic. Los Angeles County Fire Department units arrived shortly after and administered first aid to the injured party. At least one individual sustained moderate injuries and was later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. CHP officers secured the area and diverted traffic to prevent secondary accidents. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
