Newhall, CA – Two-Vehicle Accident on I-5 N/Lake Hughes Rd. Leaves Injuries

Newhall, CA (April 25, 2025) – On the evening of April 25, a serious two-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 5 just north of Lake Hughes Road in Newhall, resulting in multiple injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash happened around 7:19 p.m. and involved a black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck and a Toyota Prius. Responding officers arrived and immediately called for ambulance support to assist the injured individuals.

Paramedics provided on-site care to the victims before transporting at least one person to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been officially confirmed, but authorities noted that several occupants were shaken up and possibly sustained moderate to serious injuries. Officers are actively looking into the cause of the accident.
