Newhall, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 at San Fernando Mission Blvd Leaves One Injured

Newhall, CA (May 4, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on the northbound I-5 near the San Fernando Mission Boulevard off-ramp in Newhall resulted in one person being injured on the morning of May 3rd. The crash involved a black Chevrolet Equinox and a black Mercedes SUV and occurred in the number 1 lane, briefly blocking several lanes. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of the Equinox reported swerving to avoid debris on the roadway, which led to a collision with the Mercedes. Emergency crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived shortly after 10:30 a.m. and assisted the injured party, providing on-site medical evaluation before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further care. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the full cause of the crash.
